In Get Bit you want to escape the shark fastest, and what slows down a shark more than eating your fellow players? Get Bit is a simple game that initially wows with it’s great components. In the box you find six plastic figures with detachable limbs (important for gameplay!) and a plastic shark a bit like the ones you get in Lego. Each player chooses a colour, takes the figure of that colour and seven cards numbered 1-7. The figures are placed in a line with the shark at the back. Each player will then select one of their cards and place it face-down, before revealing them together. Anybody who has played a number which nobody else has played will get to move to the front of the line, starting with the low numbers first. This means low numbers can be a good choice unless everyone else chooses unique numbers too if everyone moves to the front – you’ll be at the back. But of course there is a good chance that people will choose high numbers? Right? To help with the guesswork, cards you play to the table stay there until you are either bitten or only have two cards left in your hand. If you are nearest, the shark at the end of the round you get bit, losing one of your detachable limbs in the process. Once all your limbs are gone you are out. Fortunately, you won’t have to wait too long to play again as the game is super quick. Get Bit also has a number of small expansions – one of which lets one player take the role of the shark! Get Bit is a small game with a small footprint making it a great game to travel with. It’s easy to learn and it will have you and your fellow gamers in stitches as you fall victim to the shark, or ditch your mates right in the biting line… Player Count: 3-6 Time: 20 Minutes Age: 7+
